Males carry fertilized eggs in their mouths for about 2 months. They
go without food during this period and for a while afterwards as the
young tend to stay in this unusual nest. |

Fishing notes: |
The best baits are live or cut fish and shrimp. Most are bottom
feeders so use heavy sinkers. |
